Surprise, surprise!
Trailing 6-0, Webb came back to go up 7-6 at the half of the first game. Vienna Inn punched in a touchdown and added the 2 pt conversion - taking a 14-7 lead. The defense took it from there, containing the Webb QB and taking away the downfield options.
The second semifinal saw the larrys jump out to a quick 14-0 lead over Goin Deep, and threatening to make it 17-0 just before the half. Larrys missed a FG and the momentum changed to Goin Deep, who scored on a big play just before half to draw to within 14-7. In the second half, Goin Deep evened the game at 14 on another big play. Larrys answered with a drive and a score to retake the lead 21-14. Goin Deep then pulled out yet another big play to tie it up at 21, and that`s where regulation ended. In overtime, Larrys went for it on 4th down from the 5 and scored, but missed the XP. A pass interference gave Goin Deep 1st down at the 1 on their turn, but the Larrys intercepted a short pass to end the game.
In the championship game the Larrys marched downfield on their opening possession, but Vienna Inn held them to a field goal. Vienna Inn answered with a drive of their own and found the endzone, taking a 7-3 lead. Their defense stiffened and their pass rush began to disrupt the Larry`s backfield game. Vienna Inn would score again and take a 14-3 lead into halftime.
In the second half it was more of the same, as the Larrys struggled to find some offensive rhythme. Not content with playing the clock down, Vienna Inn struck again on a 40 yard pass play to push their lead to 21-3. That would prove to be be the final score. The Vienna Inn QB was dead accurate tonight, their receivers did not drop any balls, and their D-Line was all over the backfield.
