Sorry to report that the FCFFL fields have been closed today by Fairfax County all these games will be reschedule for make up along with the Mon and Tues games.

its almost too nice to play football tonight.. the fields arent even muddy!! with all our tax money going to fairfax... they should have those huge field dryers..or build stadium just for the FFL.. dammit dammit dammit!!

i havent seen the fields, although they are probably in about the same shape as my front yard, which i would consider playable. is this a matter of the county trying to preserve the fields since its early in the season? otherwise i have the feeling we`ll going to be playing into december.

you know man...people have tight friggin schedules...there`s not a thing wrong with that field over in herndon tonight, i was just there. what a joke, people come all the way to the field only to find out it has been cancelled for no reason whatsoever. i guess now we have to have no rain for three straight days to be able to use these dirt patch garbage fields in this county.
what a joke.

Donate the money for a private stadium then.
There isn`t much the league can do if the County doesn`t open up the fields. Other sports in this county run into the same problem. They aren`t just screwing football.

i showed up at the field too and definitely saw kids walking off the field carrying football helmets and with pads on. unless the little tykes were doing "remember the titans" in the auditorium, i am pretty sure they were playing ball on the perfectly dry fields.

I umpired FFC Adult Softball and except for rain days when the county did close the fields, it was our call the day of the game.
I can also tell you our president directed us to do what ever we could to allow the games to be played. Trying to get a team together for a make up game is almost imposable.

All other park fields are open .
