06/06 : Magnums defeat Banditos 18-7

Magnums improve to 1-0 in the postseason, while Banditos sit at 0-1.

The victory gets Magnums back on the winning track after a tying their last game.

Coupled with a loss in their previous game Banditos is now on a two game slide. This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by Banditos.

These teams are very familiar with one another, having now played 6 times. Their previous contest occured in a Fairfax County Flag Football League "A" regular season game May 02 2011, 21:00, which Banditos won 21-14. Overall, the teams are an even 3-3 against each other.

;	Spartans_ CHECK Collision_CHECK Magnums_CHECK Badboyz_ So I was 3 out of 4 right on my predictions. So I prove my point that this season in A league the competition has been one of the best EVER from all other seasons being that all 8 playoffs teams are good no matter what seed they were ranked. Looks like fall season is even going to get better and harder for other teams to move up unless they make a roster change.

;	I`m pretty sure this is how it went down. - banditos get ball first, defense holds, they punt. - we drive down and score on 4th and goal but we get called for block in the back so TD doesn`t count and we kick a FG. Wide left. - Banditos get ball and we force another punt - we drive down and score a TD but PAT is blocked. - banditos punt again. - we drive down and get a reception at the 1yd line but time runs out. 6-0 half time. - we get ball to start the 2nd half and time consuming drive leads to a TD. We go for 2 but get sacked. 12-0 mags - Banditos hit a couple short receptions and then hit a deep out, we miss the flag and #2 gets down to the goal line. A play or two later they score and make the PAT. 12-7 mags with 7 min. left. - We drive down again and are held to 4th and short around the 20yd line. Go for it and pass dropped in the endzone. - Banditos take over with just under 2 min. left. First or 2nd play they throw it up and our QB picks it off and returns it for a TD. Game over. Good game Banditos

;	oh and just to add they had some chances offensively early on. Two or three plays where WR was open on the deep ball but was over thrown.

;	Good game Mags. Rob`s recap says it all. We didn`t take advantage of our 1st half possessions and couldn`t get off the field on defense. Good luck the rest of the way.
