11/11 : Magnums upend Novacaine 24-17
Magnums improve to 1-0 in the postseason, while Novacaine sits at 0-1.
The victory continues a 4 game winning streak for Magnums which now stands at 5 wins in a row.
The loss continues a 2 game skid for Novacaine which now stands at 3 losses in a row.
These teams are very familiar with one another, having now played 6 times. Their previous contest occured in a Fairfax County Flag Football League "A" regular season game Sep 20 2010, 08:00, which Novacaine won 23-7. Overall, the teams are an even 3-3 against each other.

I honestly thought novacaine had the Magnums number and would take this one with ease.

Good game Mags, was a battle til the end like usual. Mags receive the ball and march down the field in about 6 plays to take a 7-0 lead. Caines go 3 and out, or something like that and punt. Mags once again drive with ease but are stopped at the 1yd line and settle for a FG, 10-0. Caines receive the ball and march down the field in about 4 plays, with 2 deep bombs to Cube, 1 being a 40 yd td. 10-7 Mags.. Mags receive with about 2 min left in the half. March down the field once again and put up a HUGE td with 2 seconds left to go up 17-7 at the half. Caines receive 2nd half and score on that drive to make it 17-14. Mags QB throws a pick. Caines march and put up a FG to tie 17-17 with about 8 min left. Mags receive and proceed to throw another pick. Caines cant convert. Mags drive down the field and throw a deep 50-60 yd td pass after the qb ran circles around the caines D for about 7 seconds. 24-17 with about 2 min left. Mags D-Line really picked it up the last few drives, and put too much pressure on the QB for the caines to convert a first down, time expires. 2 big picks by caines #19 to keep them in it. Mags QB COULD NOT be contained, ran circles around the caines, huge factor in the outcome. Caines also kicked a kickoff out of bounds in a pivotal point in the game, cant remember the time or score, but gave the mags the ball on the 40 at a key point in the game. Great game all around as always.

Yeah I think we`ll go to states, always a good time if nothing else. Good game Mags, that was a huge play by your QB, good luck the rest of the way.
