What is the penalty for assisting on a blocked field goal? The offense is lining up for a field goal, the defense is lining up to block. One defender is using his hands as a step stool and the other defender steps into his hands and jumps up.Is this allowed and if not what is the penalty?

^^^^^ LMAO! I don`t think that`s an infraction but who does that? Sounds like a conversation between two high or drunk individuals. "Dude, what if we do this..."

How about we address the stripping rule? I guess in the history of FCFFL i`m the only person to fall victim to the ball be stripped out of my hand, only to be deemed "legal".

Stripping

It is LEGAL as long as you don`t impede the runner. It has happened more times than you think. It is very hard to do without affecting the ball carrier and that is why it is not done often.

Cody - In fact you aren`t. It happened to us last Spring in a playoff game. We tried to run an option at the goal line, our QB faked the pitch and when he did, a defender stripped it out of his hands and took it 99 yards the other way for the game winning score. My understanding of the rule is you can strip the ball as long as you don`t impede the runner while attempting to do so.

This is for the person who remains anonymous , but wants to call out other people. The Hitmen played a good game.It was physical and fun. I question that rule too, but until it is clarified- do what you can. Like I always say- if the ref doesn`t call it - it is a good play.Somwetimes it is not fair , but we don`t have instant replay and if it wasn`t for them - we couldn`t play. Besides, you will see some really bad refs at States and appreciate that we have really good refs.So why don`t you tell us who YOU play for? LOL

is one of the only leagues in this area that allow you to make a play on the ball. The reason being some hothead can get on the field and "go for the ball" but it end up being a tackle.

Yeah Bundy, I know now, it`s legal. I just think laughs in the face of "flag" football.
Along with the holding rule, where the offense get`s the result of the play, the penalty yardage, AND the down over.

How about we address the stripping rule?
Its legal and happens occassionally. Its also very difficult to pull off and of the times I have witnessed a clean strip the ball carrier has been holding the ball with one hand with his arm outstretched.
Its almost impossible to strip the ball and not impede the carrier if he has both hands on the ball or has the ball tucked.

This falls under the "Unfair Acts` section of the rulebook - not allowed. Should be an unsportsmanlike.

another rule
Oct 14, 2010 2:26 PM | | | ; |
if someone does a behind the back pitch and it goes forward... the refs claimed that since the ball goes behind the back its not a foward pass.... however the ball is still moving forward.... is that really legal?

another rule 1
Oct 18, 2010 8:02 PM | | | ; |
to: another rule. It would be legal as forward or backward pass. That is about the dumbest think I ever heard. If that was really said by a "football official" they need to quit now and do we really pay for that! WOW!
