It`s one thing if someone without a log-in gives a little insight. But there is a handful of "pests" that just try to push buttons. Why? I don`t know, I find this messageboard much more entertaining when it`s relevant insight, such as the work of Hidden Scout. But that last thread for example, just sensless babble about "only 2 A teams", is just irritating to read. You gotta believe the person typing it is not really that stupid and ignorant, but they insist on posting it anyway.

That`s why I said in the begging that all threads should be login only. If you want to stay anonymous it`s all good but Login like Bun B, ESPN, or whoever else. And if the that Login user is over doing it by talking about peoples ****** or family then Tom can delete that Login user for good.

It does not matter if someone is logged in or not. I, however, would not call it cowardly. I would call it lack of maturity by the poster for what is said on these message boards. That goes for both logged in and not. But cowardly makes it sound like you want to fight them because they will not say who they are or what team they play on. These posts are only words. Everyone seems to take it as a personal attack on their pride or image. In the end, you can always delete every post that is not done by a logged in player. So delete away if you only want logged in people posting. This is a recreational sport after all.

I don`t feel that it is my right or resposibility to delete someone else`s opinion; after all, we all check this site to see what each other have to say about the goings on in the league. Also, I am not concerned about "personal attacks", it`s not that serious. I just want to know why, if we all play or have played in this league, would people who have so much to say do so but not stand by their comments. Definition of lame.

See that`s what I don`t understand (and why I started this thread); what could be fun about talking crap about other teams, and maybe even one`s own team, or maybe even saying good stuff about somebody but disguising who it is that is making the statement? How is that fun? Somebody help me understand because I honestly do not.

I think that some people want to say something but have no idea what to say so they just chime in an insult to see what response they`ll get.
Most of us are at work and to this to pass time so sometimes **** is said just to keep the thread going.
When someone goes over the line most logged in players will delete it. Especially when it concerns family.
Yes, this is flag and recreational but it is also the hobby we all choose to spend our time on so this is just another outlet to do so.
One last note. If people did log in and say some of the things that are said then people would fight. We are already athletic testosterone filled douche bags so if someone were to openly insult on of us then we would probably feel obligated to stand up for ourselves and show our ass.
It`s better that there is an option to be anonymous that way some of the **** that NEEDS to be said get said without the risk of confrontation.

I think the post above proves the flaw in having folks post without sign in. As stated its one thing to say something insightful, or even controversial, but it`s completely out of line to say something insulting. By saying that doing it anoymously makes it okay it`s probably the most hypocritical statement I`ve heard in a while. As a man you should be able to properly convey your point without having to insult people, or talk in a way that you would not normally... this will fall on death ears to those who get off insulting people :)

D - To answer your question. Have you ever enticed your friends to get a reaction? I bet you have. Or maybe this will work. Did you ever do something when you were 10 and got away with it because no one knew it was you? Same principles apply to these message boards. They do this because it is possible and know there will be a reaction out of the logged in players. If no one was able to log in and identify themselves then the personal attacks would be limited. They would be attacking someone sitting behind a computer who could very well be on their team. It seems to bother you that people are attacking others verbally but you can always close out the window or delete the thread. That is why Tom gave that ability to logged in players. He was also banning IP’s at one point. Most people do not need to be baby sat, while others do. This message board only proves that fact.

All-
I know there has been a lot of hoopla on the boards again, and a lot of registered posters attacking us anonymous posters AGAIN.
As an anonymous poster, I would just like to say you lamoids who boast about "being a registered poster" are lame. Therefore, we will continue to make fun of you (Will, Slash, and Cody) . No, it`s not that we really have anything against guys like Grove, Dre, Dumbells, or even LOCS ( who loves calling out anonymous names...which are always wrong). Why do we remain anonymous then? For fun, because if everyone was a registered poster on here, there would be no sh*t talking and the entertainment value would go down so much that this board wouldn`t even get me through the day at work. Sure, I could "tell you who I am" but then what? We fight at our game and hate each other forever? No, that`s not why the FCFFL was created.
Having anonymous posters gets players like the ones I mentioned above fired up, knowing that week in and week out, they could be playing against the person who is constantly talking **** to them and not even know it. It makes it interesting. So go ahead with your "poster names" or whatever you call them. I just don`t want to hear you all act like you are big bad asses because you tell everyone who you are. You only do so because you know the anonymous posters will not, which takes away both of our credibility.
With that being said, Dumbells is a ***** and Novacaine sucks, Will needs to get a life, Slash is a loser, and Grove your nobody.

I vowed to stop responding to anonymous posters. It`s useless and a waste a time. So I`ll say this and keep it moving. First of all, anonymous posters that attack individuals are cowards, immature and in my opinion more than likely a reflection of the father figure that was in their life. But that`s another topic that`s not for this messageboard. Second, you`re right anonymous poster I haven`t identified all of my personal haters/fans but I did approach one of them at the beginning of the season. And what did his coward, immature, ***** ass have to say in person...nothing of course. Why can’t he state the same things he said on the messageboard to me personally? You know why, Union 17, because he was a coward among other things. Anyone that hides behind a messageboard to attack someone is a coward. Union 17, you are doing a lot of defending of anonymous posters, which I find very interesting. And to the anonymous poster that defense is that it makes the messageboard more entertaining is sad. What it really is, is a reflection of your life sad. You really must be a hit in social gatherings, with the ladies and in the workplace. I bet you’re lacking in all three and which is the reason most anonymous posters lash out on messageboards. It’s the only environment where they feel some sense of authority; they have no authority or clout anywhere else.

I think having more registered posters this season has actually brought this message board to life - especially w/ the boys from 7pt spread who aren`t afraid to give their opinion/predictions (even if they are absurd).
Gotta agree w/ LOCS about the anonymous posters who send personal attacks - just lame.
I think the only good use for anonymous posters is for those who provide legit analysis of teams because your more likely to get a raw analysis from somebody who`s anonymous than somebody who states their team name and number. That`s about it though.

Rob has a point about Cody & Grove. Those are the only two guys who talk trash with their login names. They even called out Dre and the whole Triple Crown team hahaha which NOT often you find a login saying they will beat this team, out run this guy, and out score this team. I for one never chat on this board because "work" keeps me busy, however doesn`t make me think that sometimes that anonymous poster can also be in my team and that goes for every team & player in Fairfax. Look it`s flag football and it should be fun. But I always have a good laugh when I read stuff from ESPN, Bun B, and Swami.

Locs, I am not here to defend them or argue with anyone. I am only stating what I read on these boards. I agree the personal attacks are uncalled for and childish. But like I said, Tom gave the ability to have those post deleted by logged in players. Or you we can ask Tom to start to ban IP`s again who do attack other players personally. When our teams cross paths in playoffs I will be happy to introduce myself to further this discussion. I am the smaller of the token white guys on Union.
