04/21 : CCR NOVAs rout Wolves 30-0
CCR NOVAs improve to 3-2 on the season, while Wolves drop to 3-2.
This is the most points scored in a game this season by CCR NOVAs, and the third time CCR NOVAs shutout an opponent this season. The victory gets CCR NOVAs back on the winning track after a loss in their last game.
This is the first time Wolves failed to score against an opponent this season. Coupled with a loss in their previous game Wolves is now on a two game slide.
Prior to this game, these teams had met only one other time, on Jun 17 2007, 09:30, a IFFL - Reston Spring League "A" playoff semifinal game which Wolves won 14-6.
Next up for CCR NOVAs is Shockers (2-4). That game is scheduled for Apr 26 2010, 21:00 at Lake Fairfax#4.
Wolves will face off against Greyhounds (4-2) on Apr 26 2010, 21:00 at Poplar Tree #2.

Greyhounds need to be thanking the Wolves. This opens the flood gates back into the A playoffs. Rejects "shouldn`t" lose another game, keeping them at 3 losses. Wolves still have 2 games the "could" lose vs Novacaine & 7pt. Things in the east just got interesting. Might as well throw CCR in the mix also. That 3rd and 4th spot in the east is gone take this down to the wire.

Think about this Lunatics beat G hounds and barely lost to CCR NOVA by 7 points to zero. CCR NOVA waxed the wolves. Based on this Caines might have shot at beating the wolves. Also, this looks like the west has more top teams. The top west teams seem more consistent

If TC or 7pt Spread had 7 guys on the field anyone should be able to beat them. Because the Wolves lost to CCR by 30 doesn`t mean they suck and if they do end up in B league, teams better pray they don`t because we know Wolves ain`t going to show up with just 7.
East A playoffs: TC and 7pt Spread look to remain on the same spot, unless 7pt Spread gets beat by Cougars or TPO, their only two hard games are against Wolves and TC. The same goes for TC, they only face two hard games against 7pt and Hounds, but things can change for them also if they lose from here on out. Right now the Wolves are the only top team fighting to stay alive in the A playoffs, but look for them to be back on track.

I wouldn`t analyze this loss too much. Wolves are still a top team in the A. From what people are saying they only had 7 guys there. It`s hard to win or compete when you only have 7 out on the field.

Didnt these guys just almost beat TC? So they have one game where they get 7 players, it happened 2 Sundays ago as well. It seems to me that when they are there with a full roster, they can beat anyone, they dont need TC players. It seems like a lack of commitment on weeknights and weekends.

Give all that has been said I doubt anybody is saying they aren`t a quality team, but when you have a lack of commitment, you`re only as good as the product you put on the field. I`m not saying they "need" the TC players, i`m saying as oppossed to playing with 7 or 8 players in the weeknight league they should have just stayed on TC`s roster.
