Well two weeks have been completed and things are starting to take shape in the B League. In the National Division we`ve got S&S, Wolverines, and Punishers leading the way. In the American division Invequity, Spalding, and MAC Daddies are out to great starts. As for last week`s predictions, I finished 3-2 in the National Division, losing my upset picks (teach me to never go with the underdog again)and only 3-3 in the American division, 6-5 overall for the week and 13-8 on the season. I still haven`t seen an update on the Webb Construction/Potomac game, so I excluded that prediction. Here`s how I see Week #3`s action:
National:
Helltown Rosebuds 20 Magnums 6
Vienna Inn 13 Entourage 6
Punishers 14 Magnums 0
Wolverines 21 Potomac 0
S&S 27 Punishers 21(National Game of the week)
Webb Construction 14 Banditos 10
American:
Gray Hounds 19 Five Year Plan 0
Gang Green 14 Spalding 7
Titans 10 Chuds 0
Spalding 13 Big Pimpin 7
Invequity 24 MAC Daddies 21 (American Game of the Week)
Big Pimpin 21 Gray Matter 0
Good luck to all teams. Bring on the discussion!

What happened to Gray Matter? They were a pretty good team last year.

C`mon, Swami... the TITANS get only 10 points on CHUD? We`ll see `bout that. Our divisional opponents know where we stand.. so, thats aight. Keep up the tight predictions tho`... they are amusing. Peace.

Invequity stinks and the game won`t even be close. MAC Ds will shut them out.

The funny thing is that we are an underdog...good job Swami w/the motivation.
I`m not sure about Invequity stinking; but they don`t know what they are going to get themselves into on Wednesday night.
It won`t be the same team they have seen!

Entourage, you guys talk trash every week before the game, you finally go play the game and get crushed. You`re just lucky that the Swami predicted you to even score (considering you have yet to prove you CAN score). Put up or shut up. I`m sure you will have the water ready, because your squad is made up of a bunch of ex-water boys. Take off the dress for once and play FOOTBALL.

C`mon Swami.....the CHUDS being shut out two weeks in a row?! I guess anything is possible, but you`d have to think they`ll get on the board this week, their transition into the league was quite smooth considering the circumstances last week.

We will put up FOR SURE.....in fact, if we dont, I wont say one more word on this message board. However, until that time, I promise I find the endzone, and when I do, I will def. be looking for you. Who knows, I may be in a good mood and even give you the game ball.

Swami as always I enjoy your predictions but we`re looking to make a believer in us yet. Invequity good luck, just one word of advise, we are not thesame team that you scrimaged against, game time is game time and good luck to you all.

Watch out for Potomac? First game was a rain/games-on night so they never posted. Web game apparently was a weird game and last night they should have won by more except a first play double pass TD by Wolves.
Swami do some more research

Potomac,
Congratulations on the big win. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong in my predictions. At the same time, looking at your record and your history compared with the record and history of Wolverines, I would say most people would have picked Wolverines to win. You guys lost week #1 14-0 vs. the Punishers (regardless if it was raining or not, Punishers also played in the same rain you played in). And then week two, you give up 30 points to Webb Contstruction. You were also 1-6 in the Spring league regular season and had a -58 point differential. That was all my reasoning leading up to the game. BUT that`s why they play the games. You guys went out, sounds like you played a great game, and you won. Congratulations on the big win and on proving me wrong.
Anyone have any update on the Vienna Inn/Entourage game or the Webb Construction/Los Banditos game?
Also, congrats to S&S, they made my "game of the week" look like a joke. I`m sure it was tough on Punishers playing a close first game and then having to play a real good S&S team right after.
Punishers, how was the game vs. the Magnums? I was surprised to see it that close.

I hate excuses as much as the next guy...week one we thought it was raining and by the time we figured out our game was on we were unable to assemble our team. Webb played a great game, no excuses. The wolverines played us tough, the game could have gone either way. In regards to the spring league (our first season as a "team"). We had a tough time getting everyone up and at the field on Sundays...in the AM. We are still pretty young and enjoy the opp. to go out and get drunk...none of us are married and none of us have kids (that we know about). We only played 3 games in the reg. season with a complete team...in the playoffs we went 2-1 with complete teams. You may recognize 4 of us from Too Slow for Comfort, we all played on that team in the FFFL in the Fall of 2004 and went 5-3. That team broke up and we signed up for the spring league as a practice.
Like you said, thats why we play the game...
sorry for the book POTOMAC

After staying late to watch the MacDaddies last second loss to Enviquity (16-14, I think)... a serious lesson was learned - NEVER LEAVE THE GAME`S OUTCOME IN THE HANDS OF THE REFS. No disrespect to any of the game officials, b/c I understand that this is not there "day job". And, I feel the outcome of the game ended up the way it should have. But, the ending... was indeed comical. The first 38 minutes of the game was called fine, but the final two which greatly effected the ending had both bad calls (last pass intf.) and mis-calls (4+ forward laterals). If you were there, you could definitely tell that the FOOTBALL GODS stepped in to save the day. So... my humble advice to all teams is if you got a team down, keep "choppin wood" until the outcome is already a far-gone conclusion. I will admit tho`... that was a hella fantastic finish!! Great effort by both teams, too. But, the (ironic) line of the night was the guy yelling - "U GOTTA EARN IT!!". Those in attendance know exactly what I am talkin about... b/c it came back to bite `em in the carcASS. So CLASSIC.
