The county is pretty conservative when calling games for rain. They don`t like thier fields torn up and its not the pop warner that does that.

Games are called for lightening, or if the fields are too wet to play on without risking damage to the fields, or if it is continuously raining at more than a drizzle.

In some of those cases, officials may elect to suspend play for a while to see if weather conditions change. Cancellation of games in progress are at the discretion of the officials.

We have had a drought for some time, so those field should be able to absorb some rain.

When are the games rescheduled if there is a rain out? The end of the season? And where do we check for cancellations?

Just thinking that a band from this hurricane could produce some heavy rain at times and some thunder this evening.

Games better not be held off for too long considering the lights go Pitch Black at 11:00pm SHARP!
