The problem has been Monday in particular and not any other night there at Lake Fairfax.
Because of what happened last week, we talked to every single person in the County Chain, from the main offices, to the regional Park folks, to the individual directly in charge of the field lighting for Lake Fairfax. All of them assured us (as recently as 3:00 today) that the lights would function tonight.
Well, they did not come on and we tried to get someone to help right away, but were eventually told "it would be looked at again tomorrow", because the individual with the County responsible thought it was too late to come out and additionally did not have the resources to manually override the lighting system (by contrast the guy in charge of PT, BP, ECL & GB does know how to do it).
Not sure what decision we`ll make re: Lake FFX on MON nights. If they tell us again the lights will be on 100% we`ll probably ask to have permits adjusted to have us switched to field#4 MON (where the lights have been on MON) and soccer to field#1 - after all, if the lights will be on both fields what`s the difference?
