Week 3 in Review
It was a week for upsets, with the Hokies and Kryptonites taking care of business. Hokies will likely be 4-0 by the end of this week, and are in strong position to outhustle the Storm, and Novacaine for an bid for the A playoffs. Though Hokies beat a legitimate CCR NOVAS team, there have been concerns on the message board about whether or not the Hokies are legit or counterfeit. It is too early to tell. PKL and Diesel continue their offensive woes, and would not surprise me if they end up losing a B+ berth to Frontline.
4/20 - Monday Signal (+4) @ The Union CCR Novas (+6.5) @ Magnums The Storm (+10.5) @ Sharks
4/21 - Tuesday Wolverines (+10.5) @ Kryptonites Bad Boyz (-3.5) @ Greyhounds
4/22 - Wednesday Spalding (-1) @ Diesel GSS Blazers Chaos (+9.5) @ Triple Crown Rejects (-9) @ Titans
4/23 - Thursday PKL Warriors (+13.5) @ Hokies Novacaine (-3.5) @ Frontline
Bookie`s Book It: Hokies will demolish a weak PKL squad that has no offensive capability, still holding onto some bad blood from a couple seasons ago when these two teams first started, losing the C league IFFL championship to them. Hokies will run off with this one and become one of the few teams that are (4-0) in 2009 Fairfax Open.
The Bad Boyz edging out the Greyhounds will be a good tough game, as well as the CCR Novas/Magnums game. I ended up choosing the Bad Boyz and Magnums due to their momentum in handling other teams, even though they have lost one game, but it can go either way because all these teams are able to perform at a high level.
Potential Upsets to watch out for: Signal over Union, Frontline over Novacaine.
