Well the season`s come to an end. What`s everyone thoughts about the first round playoff matchups? (1) Kryptonites vs (8) Blue Magic: Kryptonites look like they are very well on their way to blowing out Blue Magic. Very good wide receiver play, along with marginal game management by the QB, and solid defense has led to their +15.0 PD. Kryptonites: 28 Blue Magic: 7 (2) 5 Year Plan vs (7) Big Pimpin 5 Year Plan has played solid ball throughout the season, only losing when missing their QB against the Kryptonites. It is a battle of veteran teams, where the absence of subs for Big Pimpin will hurt in the second half, especially in generating a solid pass rush to offset a fundamentally sound team. Big Pimpin`s only chance is to build an early lead in the first half. If they are down by a touchdown, things will get ugly. 5 Year Plan: 21 Big Pimpin: 13 (3) Hands of Fate vs (6) HITT Squad HoF is capable of putting up big points, and is the only team to have beaten the #1 seed, the Kryptonites in the regular season. The last time these two teams faced each other, Hands of Fate shut them out. HoF: 24 HITT Squad: 7 (4) Sandbaggers vs (5) Shockers Sandbaggers have quietly adopted a workmanlike +11.5 avgPD, shutting out the last 4 out of 5 teams they have played (only giving up 77 points, 2nd to the Kryptonites 75 points, throughout the season,) though they have had the benefit of a relatively lax SoS the past 5 weeks. The dark horse of the post-season is looking to avenge their earlier loss to the Shockers. Is this team getting hot at the right time? Only time will tell. My guess is the Shockers` inconsistencies will catch up to them, and the Sandbaggers will pull out a tough, gritty win. Sandbaggers: 17 Shockers: 14
