Tom,

I remember you saying earlier in the season that if we get a rainout, you may look to take the top 8 teams in each B League division for the playoffs. With tonight`s rainout, is that still a possibility? I just ask to give us crappy teams a glimmer of hope for the playoffs. PLEASE!

My understanding

From what Tom said earlier in the season, they are only taking the top 5 teams from each division......so yes 10 total teams. I was asking if we could take top 8 from each division (16 team playoff).

Tom had hinted earlier in the season that they may go with a 16 team format if we had some rainouts. Not sure if this is still an option, but I was hoping it might be. We`d love to have an opportunity to play in the playoffs, considering we probably won`t make the cut for the 10 team playoffs, but have gotten better as the season rolled on. We are a new team.

That would be a GREAT idea...i`m following now...that is the way it should be...more bang for the buck, hell I know my team would benefit from that. I wonder if our fee would pay to rent the fields...if not, I know my team would be willing to pay a little more money for the poss. of more games...

This will depend on the lag between B and the A and C Leagues. If there are make-up games across the board in all leagues we would stick with the current playoff format. If its only the B League that`s behind, instead of wasting a week just to catch B League up - we`d expand the playoffs and start everyone. A lot will depend on what happens today and tomorrow.
